NEXT “DECHURHING” DISCUSSION EVENT

Our next meeting for the book “Dechurching,” is scheduled for April 4th at Avalon Manor, Historic Lounge, at 6:00 PM. Pizza and salad will be ordered in. We will pass the hat to cover cost. Everyone is asked to bring their own drinks. Because we will be ordering food, we need to know if you plan to join us. Either sign up on the list at church which will be on coffee table in Nelson Hall or email Dale Morgan at damorgan1@mac.com.

Discussion will begin at 6:30 PM. Whether you have been a part of our discussions before or are joining us for the first time, we encourage you to join us. We especially urge our younger members and families to take part.

If that day and time does not work for you, another time for meeting and discussion is tentatively scheduled for April 28th after worship.

Stay tuned!

PREACHING CLASS FOR ELDERS AND CHURCH LEADERSHIP

Grace and peace to you!

The first round of the preaching class went well last year, and I have had

several requests to repeat it, and I am going to.

Classes with be on Thursdays this spring:

April 25, May 2, 9, 23, 30, and June 6

(the exact time will be determined by participants)

Classes will be via Zoom, and an online only version comprised of recordings from the classes will also be available for those unable to make Thursdays.

If you have any elders or members of the church who are interested in developing their preaching skills, please have them register for the class by emailing me with their full name, email, and church affiliation.

Our faith community is invited to support families experiencing

homelessness by sponsoring, donating, or participating in the Family

Promise of Waukesha County Golf Outing.

The Golf Outing will be

Monday, July 22

at the Oconomowoc Golf Club.

2024 is a special year because Family Promise of Waukesha County is celebrating our tenth year of providing shelter to families experiencing homelessness. In November 2014, we opened our doors to serve our first two families. Now, over 400 families later, we are excited to celebrate the impact that you have made on families experiencing homelessness or at risk of experiencing homelessness.

Individual golf and dinner tickets will be available after April 5th, 2024
